For four years he also rode bareback horses at the same time as bullfighting, and decided that bullfighting was the way to go for him. He prefers not to freestyle bulls, but does only cowboy protection. Clint says "I can justify jumping in there and saving a cowboy, but can't justify throwing myself in there just to take a hookin. Hooking and hangups - that's when the fun starts... dragging someone out from under the bull. That's what the good Lord put in my life to do, I live for this!" Bullfighting is such a large part of his life that it is always on his mind; when he eats, during exercize running down the road, and even while he sleeps! One night he woke to find the mattress was half off the bed, and the lamp was knocked over! "I love to work out - hate to work, but rodeo is the work I like."
His first show was in 1997 while he was on the road - after that, he never looked back. Now he works 4 or 5 shows a week, 2 or 3 performances a day, for different stock contractors. When winter comes, he goes to both Texas and Oklahoma where he fights bulls. Spring of 2002, he faught bulls for Gary LeFew and is planning on going back there in the fall. Clint has made numerous appearances on TV and radio to promote the rodeo he is working for at the time. He has been seen in western stores, truck dealerships, and even sitting on a curb in Branson, Missouri during a parade, holding a sign saying "Rodeo". But his favorite past time are the kids, he loves to make visits to Childrens hospitals and says, "I don't go where I can't have fun, and if I can't have fun, I don't go". Clint has many people that have helped him along the way. His family has been so supportive, but he says he couldn't do without Mom and Dad, which have played the roles of doctor, lawyer, secretary, banker, laundry lady, material sales, bookings, and whatever comes up. Another major person in Clint's life, is Dwayne "Turk" Cooper, bullfighter and barrelman. Clint says "He really helped get my confidence up."
